Difference between "instructional strategies," "practices," and "techniques."

As our first BLOG entry, we have received this message from Courtney who has agreed tp allow us to post it on our Blog.

My name is Courtney and I am an advanced doctoral student who currently works for two professors of education here at the University of....  Much of their work is devoted to designing and implementing culturally responsive educational practices to assist teachers.

During one of our meetings they asked me to research the difference between "instructional strategies," "practices," and "techniques." The available literature I have reviewed does not appear to address this difference. I was wondering if you knew of any literature that specifically addresses how these terms differ within the field of education, or if they do at all? Or if you, yourself, would like to comment on this subject? I know they would appreciate any assistance or clarification.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
